How to Look Great this Summer: 10 Tips to Look Great and Healthy

Summer is here, pull out your swimsuit, shorts, and floral dress, hit the beach, go for a swim, and have some fun sipping your favorite fruit juice. Summer gives us the opportunity to engage in many fun activities, but the intense sun rays are very harmful to our skin. If you follow the 10 simple tips given below, you will not have to worry, you will still look fun, glamorous, and stay healthy.

1. Always Use Sunscreen

This is something we all know, but ignore by many. Be sure to use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 before leaving the house. If you have sensitive skin then a mineral based sunscreen will be best for you. Avoid the sun between 10 am and 4 pm, when the sun’s rays are strongest and most harmful. However, if you have to go out during this time, reapply your sunscreen every 2-3 hours.

2. Don’t Forget Your Lips

You have used the best sunscreen on every exposed part of your body, and you feel completely safe. Well, think again. One part that most people don’t take care of is their lips. The sun can harm your lips too, so they need protection. Lip balms and lipsticks with SPF are available, so be sure to use them.

3. Eat Lightly

You should always watch what you eat, but this becomes even more important during the summer. If you eat a little more than your stomach allows, you can easily bloat. Eat as light as you can and eat fresh fruits and vegetables, especially those that are rich in water. Stay away from fried and rich foods and sweets that are not only harmful to your health but can easily cause skin problems during the summer.

4. Drink a lot of Smoothies

Fruit smoothies are delicious, healthy, quench your thirst and keep you hydrated. However, you should avoid smoothies that contain ice cream as they are very high in calories and will not be good for you. You should choose a smoothie made with fruit, ice, and low-fat yogurt. You can use your favorite fruit or a variety of fruits, throw them in the blender and enjoy cold, fresh fruit.

5. Drink as much Water as Possible

Drinking 6-8 glasses of water is necessary all year round , but it will become more important in the summer. In summer, you sweat a lot, so you lose more water and drink more to avoid dehydration. If you can’t drink a lot of plain water, opt for coconut water, green tea, or add a few frozen cubes of fruit to a glass and make the water savory.

6. Exercise Regularly

Yes, in summer, the temperature can be so hot that you sweat more with exercise . That doesn’t mean you don’t exercise in the summer. You may not even go for a walk if it’s too hot outside. You can join an aerobics or yoga class or the gym so you can work out indoors. However, exercising regularly is essential.

7. Go Swimming

In winter, you have to choose between jogging and running. When body temperature rises, it helps to lose weight. If all this seemed boring, have a happy summer. Now go swimming alone or have fun with friends and get some good workouts. You can start swimming for about 10 minutes and gradually increase the time. You can burn 400 calories by swimming for 30 minutes .

8. Exfoliation

Dead skin cells increase during the summer months, so if you want to have healthy, smooth skin, you need to exfoliate your skin regularly. You don’t necessarily have to buy expensive skin exfoliants, you can make them at home instead. You can exfoliate your skin by combining a handful of oatmeal, a little yogurt, and milk .

9. Protect Your Head

In the summer, a lot of hair falls out, so special care is required. If you plan to swim regularly, invest in an anti-chlorine shampoo and conditioner to neutralize the effects chlorine can have on your hair. If possible, avoid using hair dryers or other heating products. If possible, cover your hair with a scarf to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

10. A Wise Accessory

Sunscreen can definitely protect your skin, but you have to be more careful. Use a wide-brimmed hat or umbrella to protect your face from harmful UV rays. Also, wear sunglasses to protect the delicate areas around your eyes. If possible, get out in the sun and wear sleeveless clothing when sunbathing.

Follow these simple tips and you will look gorgeous all summer long. Together, you stay fit and healthy, so you can enjoy even the warmest days of the year without the harshest problems.
