Over the years you’ve probably realized that Disney movies can be pretty sneaky – theres all these hidden messages in them- and secrets revolving around them and that’s what were going to be talking about today. Alright lets get started on our list of the top 5 scary Disney movie secrets.

5. Nazis

For those of you who don’t know the Notional Socialist German Workers party commonly referred to as the Nazi party was active between 1920 to 1945.

It was a far- right political party in Germany that practiced the ideology of Nazism. It turns out that in the lion king Scars followers- the hyenas were suppose to represent the Nazi party.

In the scene where the hyenas are preparing their formations under the evil eye of Scar was actual modeled after footage of Hitlers troops.

4. Racism

This isn’t so much a secret to the older generation but it is to the newer generation- but none the less its scary. Disney has done there best to hide this movie in the dark as they don’t want their fans to think of them as racist.

Back in 1946 Disney made a film called Song of the South and it is know as their most racist work to date. The film is full of racist innuendos and it belittles the issue of slavery.

Its definitely not Disneys proudest moment. The only thing that’s still popular and is a reference to this movie is the song Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah.

3. Drugs

While its never been confirmed by Disney is was expected that Alice in Wonderland was used to encourage a generation of kids to explore and take drugs.

There are even a bunch of drug references in the film- such as- hallucinations- marijuana- cocaine- alcohol- shrooms- speed- yeah the list goes on and on.

2. Morphine

This is suspected because back in the 1900s morphine or other narcotics were commonly used to help children fall asleep. Yeah that’s super creepy and now a days that would be considered child abuse.Maybe that’s why the kids dreamt of Neverland- because they were drugged.

So as we all know in a lot of Disney movies characters don’t have a mother- the kids either lose their mothers before the movie even begins-thyere not mentioned at all- or theyve get killed off.

Some of the movies that followed this are- Beauty and the beast- Pocahontas- The little mermaid- Aladdin- Bambi -Frozen- the list goes on and on.

What most people don’t know is that Its suspected that Walt Disney left mothers out of a majority of his films due to the guilt he felt about his own mothers passing. In the early 1940s Walt bought his mom and dad a house.

He had people from his studio go over and fix the furnace before his parents moved in. But one day after his parents moved in the furnace leaked and his mother died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Walt never talked about this because it was so painful and he felt personally responsible for his mother death.
