These 10 in-game sales on Steam will make you feel utterly poor. My name is Waqas and welcome to TopTenu. There are thousands of games on Steam and many of them have in-game items that you can sell or purchase.

Some people have spent pennies and some people have spent thousands on these items. Today, we’re going to be picking out the Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold.

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items

10. AWP Dragon Lore Factory New

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

At our #10 spot, we have the AWP Dragon Lore Factory New. This is a little different than straight-up selling it, however. Somebody sold their factory new AWP Dragon Lore for under $2 on the Steam Market.

Seeing as they cost anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars, this was a pretty stupid mistake. I can’t decide if I hope this was an accident or if this seller really had no idea how much it was worth. I guess both are tragic anyway.

9. Burning Team Captain Hat in Team Fortress 2 ($6,420)

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

At our #9 spot, we the Burning Team Captain Hat in Team Fortress 2. Everyone has heard of the extremely popular free-to-play game called Team Fortress 2.

And some people will know it as the destination for in-game hats and others may know it for the game itself. Well, the player “Bobsplosion” paid $6,420 for this in-game hat.

420 at the end makes sense, doesn’t it? Bobsplosion posted an AMA on Reddit soon afterward and offered to answer anyone’s questions about his large purchase.

8. Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore Field Tested

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

At #8, we have the Souvenir AWP Dragon Lore Field Tested. This skin is valued at over a couple of thousand dollars. So to the people who sold this item on Steam for $400 and under $300, well, RIP your money.

If they’d held on to their AWPs and went about the situation knowing their actual value, they could have made much, much more.

7. McSkillet’s AWP Dragon Lore Factory New ($8,000)

Coming in at #7, we have McSkillet’s AWP Dragon Lore Factory New. Some player by the name of “McSkillet”, you may have heard of him, traded up the #1 float Dragon Lore, and sold it to a collector for $8,000.

That’s right, $8,000. And if you’re not familiar with trade-ups in CSGO, it’s where you select 10 skins of the same rarity and swap those out for 1 item of the next rarity tier.

Normally, you’re gonna lose money on these trade-ups. However, as much as McSkillet paid to create this AWP Dragon Lore, I’m fairly certain he still made a massive profit on it.

6. Eve Online Revenant Super Carrier ($11,118)

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

Coming in at #6, we have the Eve Online Revenant Super Carrier. Most of you have probably heard of the massive MMO called Eve Online.

With tens of thousands of players fighting in the same battles, it regularly breaks gaming records every year. Well, at the time this transaction took place, only 3 of these Revenant Super Carriers were in existence or available.

Someone bought one for $11,118. But to clarify, the currency used to purchase the ship in the first place came only partially from Steam transactions.

But soon after the purchase of this Super Carrier was made, a group of players called the “Pandemic Legion” destroyed it wiping it out of existence It’s a little bit unfortunate.

5. Hiko’s StatTrak Karambit Case Hardened Minimal Wear Blue Gem ($15,000)

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

For #5, we have Hiko’s StatTrak Karambit Case Hardened Minimal Wear Blue Gem. That’s a mouthful. From the famous game CSGO, this knife is absolutely insane.

Almost the entire play-side is blue and a large percentage of the back-side is blue as well. Not only this, but the pro-player “Hiko” used to own this exact knife.

All of these things combined set the price for this knife at $15,000, which somebody paid for and added it to their collection of unbelievably expensive knives.

4. StatTrak Karambit Crimson Web Factory New ($30,000)

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

Coming in at #4, we have the StatTrak Karambit Crimson Web Factory New. This item was sold for $30,000 via Bitcoin.

And for all of you viewers who aren’t aware of what different knives in CSGO do, they do nothing except look cool. They don’t give you any benefit to gameplay which is probably a good thing.

However, it makes it so much weirder when people are willing to pay this much for in-game items that just change the visuals.

Well, we’re not sure of that either. The rarity of things can cause people to go bananas with what their willing to spend and I guess that’s what happened here.

2. Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold

Coming in at our #2 spot, we have another Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem. Unlike #5, this one isn’t double-sided OR StatTrak which makes the sale price of $55,000 that much more insane.

The buyer paid via Bitcoin and made the seller so, so much richer than he was before selling it. In our #1 spot, we have the most expensive Steam item ever sold.

1. Blue Karambit Case Hardened in Factory New ($100,000)

Top 10 Most Expensive Steam Items Ever Sold
