- Shruti Haasan is an Indian film actress and singer.
Her father, Kamal Haasan is a Tamilian, whereas her mother, Sarika was born to a Maharashtrian father and a Rajput mother.
Her uncle is a well-known actor and lawyer, Charuhasan.
Her cousins, Anu Hasan and Suhasini Maniratnam are South-Indian actresses, and Suhasini is married to the popular Indian director, Mani Ratnam.
While she was in school, she acted in a theatre play, ‘Ashwaha.’
She used a fake name ‘Pooja Ramchandran’ while she was in school; as she did not want to live the life of a celebrity kid.
